Over a year in the making, Abersoch gin is perfectly formulated with full-body flavours and bursting with delicious aromas created by handpicked local botanicals and pure Welsh water. Why are we such big fans of Abersoch gin? Well, aside from the fact it is a delicious, high-quality gin – we designed the branding. When the Abersoch Spirit Company approached us with their brief, they highlighted what inspired them; sea, beaches, anchors, boats – everything Abersoch is known and loved for. We worked with this and love the end result.
Once the logo design was created we then looked at the bottle design. We agreed that the anchor icon in the word ‘Abersoch’ should face directly towards the consumer with the rest of the word printed down the bottle to maximise the use of the space and add impact.
This is how the logo design looked during the initial design phase, originally the bottle design was more angular to represent the shape of a sail however as development progressed this was adjusted in favour of a more traditional shape. The deep blue of the glass bottle reflects the theme of the sea and also differentiates from other brands on the market, providing strong brand recognition and helping the gin to stand out on the shelf.
